About Us

We are an independent club with over 100 members who's main aim is the driving and preservation of the Post War Morris Minor (1948 - 1971)

We began originally in 1982 as a branch of the Morris Minor Owner's Club. About 10 years ago moves were made to leave the national club and become independent. As you can see we have continued successfully without the backing of the MMOC.

We meet on the 2nd Monday each month at 7.30pm, at the Anchor Inn, on the B2192 at Ringmer. The inn is situated opposite the green in Ringmer Village, and has a good sized car park.

We have our "Christmas" dinner at the end of January, we have regular speakers and social evenings at our monthly meetings. In the winter it's a chance to catch up with friends and obtain technical advice. In the summer we try to get out and about - in the past couple of years we have visited the Martello Tower museum at Seaford and the Toy Museum in Brighton. We take part in Drive It Day in April and have a run out around the Sussex countryside.

Many of our members also belong to the MMOC, but you don't have to belong to them to join us - you don't even have to have a Morris Minor to join us - just a love of the "poached egg" car that brings a smile to so many people when you drive past!

Membership runs from 1st January each year:

Single membership - £8.00

Joint membership - £10.00

Family membership - three or more people at the same address - £12.00

If you join on or after 1st August each year the fee is £10 for a single membership (£12 joint/£14 family) and will run until 31st December the following year.

We will endeavour to get your new member pack sent out to you as soon as possible, but please bear in mind we also have full time jobs so it may take a week or two.
